I'm all proud of myself...
Jul. 21st, 2005 09:58 amI opened up a new part of the museum today and didn't screw it up at all:) Yay me! I even had time to walk around compsing new paintings in my head before running off to check who's in sector blah-blah-blah.
I feel clever, even without nearly enough caffeine for a long workday. Who's a smart munkay? Me!!! Ooh, ooh, me!!!
It's funny, though--sometimes I run into old Inferno coworkers at the grocery store or the coffee shop or something, and the conversation's always a little interesting...it's almost as if I've had a terminal illness or something. "How ARE you? We've missed you a lot!" I still don't really know what to say, except for the usual, "Fine, like the new job, I'm doing just dandarrific, thanks" and the slightly uncomfortable shrug. Most of the coworkers I like best I still see, so it's usually the ones that I don't know as well that I ahve this stilted conversation with. At least I haven't run into Mr. Sta-Puft out shopping or bumped into him jogging shirtless or something yet Eew!
Well anyway, I *am* doing dandariffic. Things are good. It struck me very soundly just how good the other night when I was home lazing on the couch with some knitting and music that I'm much much happier than I was last year. Amazing what a job change can do for someone.
*sighs and smiles quietly to myself*
