Paradise...
Sep. 7th, 2007 12:03 pmThese days, my personal paradise is composed of the following things...
1: Cooler weather. It's currently much more comfortable out than the last week has been. The breeze feels so soothing to much-overheated skin today...
2: Completeness. The feeling that the wash is done, the dishes are clean, the floors are swept, the garbage is out, the bills are paid, the tea is made, and there's nothing that demands my immediate attention.
3: Time. Completeness only comes with time enough to get caught up on things and then getting a chance to wind down on the sofa. And it also involves time playing with projects, time to visit the chickens, time to get a nap in, time to run an errand or two, time to visit friends and watch stupid things on tv for no good reason but that it's stupid...just time. Time to share with loved ones. Time to spend alone...
4: Yarn. And yarn-related items. Ooh,that Aurora bulky yarn in black on the end of the couch sure looks tasty...
5: The river outside my window...
These days Shangri-La is easier for me to get at. I'm still working on the time management part, but today I've done my part to stave off the attacking dustbunnies. So I'm celebrating with a sprawl on the couch and a goof on the computer. I hope your Firday goes quickly until you can get to that sofa-aprawling point...and then I hope the hours stretch for as long as you need them too...and I hope chocolate is involved:)
