Yakkity Yak!

Pipa Petey called me last night...seems that he, Ben the Neighbor and his mom and sister were coming back from Grand Marais. They apparently hit a lovely yarn shop there... "I've seen you in thirty years, Ms Maus!" Petey also has a couple of skeins of dk Yak-yarn, and begged me to come over early on Saturday to help him start a luxurious Yak-hat. I was delighted to accept--I mean, how often do you get to knit with Yak hair? The stuff's expensive, don't cha know. It takes forever just to brush a yak, I imagine...imagine the size of the brush. And would he stay still for all this brushing and shearing and whatnot? I haven't a clue. How patient IS a yak, anyway?...

It's kind of hot out lately...so I brought knitting with me to work. Every time I've been knitting in the summer the temperature drops. People blame me personally. I haven't been knitting much, and now it's gotten all nasty and humid. I know what I must do....

Yes yes, another knit-obsessed post. But I promise, no locking myself up at home with the yarn...I'm going out to curry tonight, I have Ben the Neighbor's housewarming party tomorrow, stuff like that. I told Ben there's a kilt-themed coffeeshop opening soon by me...no kidding. When it's open, we must bring knitting and drink coffee and watch the people in utili-kilts!!! Who's with me?!

I'll go by myself if I gotta...you know I would:P
