The Dead Presidents have bought me some serious slack today...

...Mmmm, I knew working non-prof has it's bennies...

In fact, i even went to first Ave with friends for a much-needed night out. I ran into all kinds of people, including Mistress Medusa who looked ravishingly lovely, and Lakesha, who had us in stitches with her new cookies...I saw a handful of ex-coworkers including one at coat-check, (I got my stuff checked for free. Hehheh!) The Emil-Y running the video booth and Jen coming straight from a wedding in her 30's finest. Woowoo! I also ran into one of the Tandem Kiss-Army-Attempted-Booty-Call-guys with a new girlfriend in tow...it was all I could do not to yell, "Run, lady run! Save your ovaries before it's too late!" Sooo...I pointed and laughed instead, and they soon moved away from our table, which was what I wanted. I can be a mean Maus sometimes.

But it was great fun to jump up and down to the happy happy loudness...and not have to go to work in the morning, either. I had a luxurious nap this afternoon, and I'vebeen knitting and watching Lord of the Rings all day long. Slack slack slackityy slack!!!

*Psst...slack! Get your lazy freak on today!*

Ben the Neighbor's been updating my website...

...and it sure does look spiff. I must make him Mega-Green-Curry-Blowout, yes indeedy I must.

If you click the knitting section, you'll find the Pirate Potholders I made for Gomichan. I think I can make some for Ben and Petey in black and turquoise to match the tiles in their lovely grand kitchen. I should make a pair for BabsMonkey the coworker too, who last time I checked is still in the hospital. (They're making surgery noises...The BabsMonkey will definitely need some cheering when she gets out. *fret*)

On a happier note....now that the weather's gonna warm up soonish, (well, warmer than the deep freeze it's been most of this year already) I wondered this: If I picked somewhere to meet for cawfeetawk and knitting/crochet/beading/gossip/whatever...who would like to come? I was talking a bit to Mistress Medusa about it, and we both thought it might be nice:) Maybe Caffeto's or the Loring Park Dunn Bros or somewhere with nice big tables and good lighting....Give me your thoughts, and I'll pick a time and a place.

Meanwhile, I'm hanging out in my Bauhaus mechanic's shirt, relaxing as much as possible for the week ahead. I have my yearly exam and everything Thursday after work. Speculums....fun...yay....*Chuckle* you didn't ned to know that, I'm sure...but try to say the word "speculum" with a straight face, I dare you.
