Help! The accordion player's coming back!

A bunch of my friends and I all had a lovely time last night at the Gasthof, for Matt's birthday. There was beer...liters of beer, in huge glasses that can hold a whole school of fish. There was lots and lots of spatzel. There was the crazy accordion player who I enjoyed very much, who insisted Matt try out the squeeze box. (He really wasn't bad on it, either!)
There was schnitzel. There was room for cake...sort of. There was snuff.(Not bad, actually!)

And now it's the next day, and I'm sooooooo not hungry now. Still full from last night.

Yum! I'm making Sauerbraten for Xmas this year, and I'm pretty excited about it.

Alton Brown's recipe only takes "76 hr 50 min". I know, most of that is marination time - but it gave me pause before I read the rest of the recipe.

In the 60s, my Aunt's husband was stationed in Germany where my Aunt befriended an older woman who passed on her Sauerbraten recipe. It, too, takes three days. But oh - it's so worth it.
