Exploding stuff is a wonderful way to spend an evening...

...I had a nice, low-key 4th of July this year. Lots of reading and playing with people's cats and eating fabulous food. The 30 bucks or so's worth of fireworks I bought probably didn't hurt, either. It reminded me a little bit of a great 4th in Bozeman where some friends and I took turns blowing up our considerable stash of go-booms. (The haze we put in the air was really kind of impressive. This year we got pretty close to that smokey sulphuric cloud:)

Otherwise, personally I'm doing okay. I should go read the news; I want to find out more about this Ken Lay dying and whatnot...

JEEEZ! The news is so upsetting today that I totally did not know about this. I went to the gym this morning and deliberately focussed on ESPN 2 and Breakfast at Wimbledon (I wish!) so that I didn't have to hear the voices shouting at me about North Korea and how far their missles might travel.

Glad you enjoyed your evening, Ms. Mausie.

"I don't fear jail ... I ... believe my God will get me through this." - Kenneth Lay

He sure did. Careful what you ask for.

One could have wished that the LORD had stricken Ken Lay down before he ruined the lives of so many people. Divine justice, if you don't believe in a theodicy, can seem awfully capricious.

How the heck are ya? $30 worth of firebangers? Have you joined the Royal Pyrotechnic Society?
