Nighmare before the Week before x-mas
Okay, I'm settled in for a little bit, and I wanted to write down something about dreams.
I think they can be windows into not only the future, but sometimes the most important parts of people. sometimes I have dreams about places I'm going to be later, or people I'll meet years from now. Sometimes my dreams are very Jungian, and sometimes they can be a fun release. (I love the flying ones best, even though I had this regreattable problem with *crashing* d'oh!)
The dream I had on Saturday is still ollowing me around. I dreamt that I was at a party at work, (not suprising , considering the weekend) and it was very pleasant with people enjoying themselves. Then the co-worker having the party, (a very nice guy I get along with well) suddenly was wearing a hospital shirt and had an iv drip in his arm. I could hear somone saying,"His kidneys--he needs dialysis, he's dying!!" and the party became a wake. It was horrible, and I started awake in the dead of night and couldn't get to sleep again for an hour or two.
I'm sure it was probably an anxiety dream abut a friend of mine who's been very ill. (He's getting better:) I can't help but shudder a little when I'm here at work. (The co-worker's on vacation, BTW, healthy and happy as a clam.) Even two days later that dream disturbs me.
Is it me, or is there something about this season that kicks the dreams into high gear, anyway? I think my sleep schedule's flipped--Usually I remember one dream a week, on a weekend or something, but now it's almost every night.
I'd be interested to see what other people are experiencing lately...
Ms f, who hasn't had the herve' villachez nightmare lately, at least...:)
