msfledermausI came into work this morning and there was a foot candle sitting jauntily on my locker. A candle in the shape of a severed foot, with fake blood and a wax spider on it. It can't be Captain Emily; she wasn't in last night, so it must be Gail. Such an evil, evil Gail!! There's a lot of cow-irkers I have mixed feelings about, but the Gail is a queen of beauteous horrible impulses that I cherish beyond measure...
Meanwhile, the news tells me California's still burning and *lots* of people are being evacuated. *fret* I hope all the Californians on my friend's list are okay and not in danger, imminent or otherwise. I wish I could have blown back some of the massive rainfall we Minnesotans had been getting down to you folks since you could have used it...Just know everybody's thinking about you and hoping you'll all be all right. And if you're not, tell us all and we'll try to help any way we can...
