I was painting my nails this morning in silvery black glittery stuff. I should have done it last night. I had to scrape it all off at work after I messed it up over and over and over. My hands look like I've dug myself out of a glittery grave. Note to myself: If you're going to be all glam-rock and whatnot, do your freakin' nails the night before:p
But last night I was downtown shopping, shopping, shopping. Ugh. I've come to a conclusion about the downtown Macy's: In the words of one of the henchmen from the Venture Brothers: "Hey...this SUCKS!" I couldn't find a lot of the stuff I knew they had, and had to almost wrestle down a couple of cashiers to ring me out. I was surrounded on all sides by Coach bags and Prada this and Gucci that...all the worthless expensive crap that I just can't stand. I did have a quiet funny moment running into Matt Bakkom in the watch section--he curated my first group show, so every time I see the Daniel Boone hat and the spiky hair it makes me happy...
And speaking of running into people, I ran into Lisa Jurgens last night, an old cow-irker of mine at Rhymes-With-Stalker. She used to do stuff in my ages-old 'zine, GothMart. I still have back issues I have to go find in a box somewhere--it was all sorts of fun; making paper dolls and cool stuff like that. *sigh* It was the people at the Stalker that made me stay as long as I did...
Anyway, off to earn the moneys to pay for the Santacular extravaganzas...
