Ladies and gentlemens, I am having a lovely, unofficial tour of the Jade Mines for any local folks who want to kill a fine, fine evening looking at various art bits and hearing me babble about them for a good hour or more. I present to you:


MS MAUSI'S GOTHY-GOTH-GOTH ART TOUR FOR THE MORBIDLY INCLINED...
Thursday, May 29th. (Not this Thursday, next Thursday.)

Featuring Your Truly in her role as Outlaw docent and amateur art-historian at large.

Where: The Minneapolis Institute of Art (Parking and admission is free.)
When: 7:00 PM (we're open until 9 on Thursday nights)
We'll be meeting in the main lobby connecting the Institute and the Children's Theatre, under the large sunburst sculpture. I will take you through and show you some of my favorite art pieces, share scandalous historical facts, show you our semioffical "haunted" rooms, and generally yak my fool head off...

Of course you've probably seen all the bits I'm going to talk about, but I'm trying to find new exciting things to bring up. Like why Naples is so death-obsessed, and my new game on third floor, "count the decapitations"...stuff like that:)

d'Oh! My meeting for Friday morning fell through, so I'll be driving home in the rain Thursday night instead of enjoying your tour.

It's okay--I think I definitely will do another tour in the fall. So I can use this one to work out how the second one should go:) and I'll pick a good time to do it when you can come as well.
