More fun with goats...
May. 21st, 2008 07:26 amI came home after a very strange day watching the film they're making outside the Jade Mines. Outside we saw a people in unicorn and dragon( or crocodile, I guess) costumes, being chased by some hyper-techno golf-cart. Very strange stuff. It was the best when the costume guys had to take their heads off to smoke:)
I came home, ordered pizza, and had eaten about half of it when Captain Emily called me, asking if it was okay to come by and visit the new goats. But of course!! I fed her the rest of my pizza while I caught up on some spinning and an episode of Invader Zim, and we had a great time letting the goats trim down the back lawn for a while. Of course Emily is smitten. They really are like puppies in all the important stuff--they play and make noise and jump on you and do that sneaky thing when they're right behind you, they love you so...Vera snuggled up to Emily's back legs, bleated, and startled her so badly she fell into some goose-poo. I had to scrub her off in my kitchen for a while, trying hard not to laugh. I didn't want to laugh, but it was so funny!!! (It's funny because it will undoubtedly be *my* turn to scrub goose-poo off myself.)
So, a full night, full of goats:)
And today I have a meeting after work with the Union folks. We're negotiating our contract, so a bunch of us are nailing down what we want and how we're gonna try to get it. Exciting stuff, I tellya. But whoo, will I be tired when I get home...
