I could kill my cow-irkers right now...

One of them's been whistling, "Everyone knows it's Windy" and "Copacabana" I think that counts as a crime against humanity by what's left of the Geneva convention. For a while two of the cow-irkers were whistling Barry Manilow. Barry Manilow makes me want to die.

*rocks in place, holding ears and moaning*

They keep it up, I'm humming the theme song to Cowboy Bebob, with all the trumpet noises until they stop. Arrrgh!!!

Trumpets? That would be "Tank".

Sweet revenge on your cow-irkers would be for you to sing "The Real Folk Blues"...

"I only want to know true sadness.
A life drenched in a river of mud isn't so bad
As long as it ends after the first time."

Ugh.

No....not Copacabana. Please, it's there's a god...

I was forced to sing that at a karaoke night, so I feel your pain.

I heard "Pleasant Valley Sunday" TWICE yesterday. Of course, I secretly loved it.

Barry Manilow? But he writes the songs the whole world sings! He writes the songs of love and everything. He writes the songs that make the young girls cry. He writes the songs. He writes the songs.

:)

You should be able to call in sick with a bad case of earworms!

The Current Location link feeds "The Oubliette of Horrible Whistling" into Google Maps, and the first link it gives you is a fundamentalist review of "Boys Don't Cry." I don't know if that's significant.

First: Whistling is an affront to people around said whistler
Secondly: As a punishment, they should be forced to whistle Inagaddavida. Drum solo and all.

Ooh, that would be almost too much to inflict on people...even people whitling Barry Manilow. I don't think I can stoop that low.

Ooog. there's a special circle in Hades where the inhabitants have a perpetual soundtrack of "Copacabana." And I'm positive Dick Cheney's going straight to it when the chili-cheese fries finally kill him off...

Aw, but the Monkees are kind of sweet. I had such a crush on Davy Jones as a little girl, even though he was my mom's age:)

I would love to do that...
"Excuse me, captain on duty, I can't come in to work today because the Barry Manilow in my head won't let me. I have to stay home and play Siouxie and the Banshees until it allllll goes away!! Seeya!"

I would smack his hand if he tried it.

though we have "Acoustic Sunrise" on Sundays, and sometimes it's a good musician...and sometimes people flee to the other galleries, whimpering in ear-pain. I've had guards on my floor beg, beg me to put them anywhere but the gallery over the coffee shop where the Folk-Singer is:)

Eek! Not significant, but interesting in it's way. I just started typing in locations just to be cheeky:)

Hey, how are things in your neck of the woods? I've recently discovered a long-lost auntie of mine lives in your town...weird, eh? *sings* It's a small world after all...

Ohhhhhhyeah!!!

I started to whistle the beginnings of it, but I got drowned out by two people doing Copacabana. So I need more whistlers, I think...my own whistling army!!!
