msfledermausI pulled a late-night at the workies last night with the negotiation commitee, meeting with management and trying to finish our contract. I got home about 11:00, flopped into bed, and was so wound up that I didn't fall asleep for another hour. Lucky me, I got to sleep in until 7 this morning, but I really could use that extra hour...
To keep my spirits up, on one of my breaks I went to the MCAD art-store and bought a copy of "Craft Inc.--Turn Your Creative Hobby into a Business" I've been thinking more and more about getting better organized about my creative interests--new web site layout, good photos, extra bank account, etcetera. I can't ditch my job, but ideally I'd like to scale it back a bit to have more time for creative stuff. Gail was scolding me last night, that I don't produce enough artwork. Too true. Maybe this fall, when all this crazy work stuff is out of the way a bit better.
In the meantime, I'm just pacing myself and doing fun things when I can. Project Runway's on tonight. I'm hoping the crazy guy with the Nuclear Tan gets kicked off, but since he's both terrible and crazy they'll probably keep him for a while...
