You know something...?
Sep. 30th, 2008 09:25 pm...In times of great economic trouble, it probably doesn't help to read French Revolutionary history...you end up seeing way to many parallels between history and the present day, in ways that are definitely NOT helpful.
But silly me, I've been reading "Queen of Fashion" and watching Marie Antoinette again. It's terrible. I have this great idea for a painting, with El Presidente dressed to the nines in a French court dress and big hair, ignoring the starving, slavering peasants that are right behind him...I may have to sketch it out at some point before he gets booted from the White House, one way or another...
...And the other day, I had to cram the French Revolution and the Reign of Terror into about five minutes to catch up a coupe of fellow guards in the Grande Salon we have at the Jade Mines. I felt so smart. This is what I do to entertain myself while I'm working...I am a big, big honkin' nerd, you guys. But you already knew that...
Anyway, off to stretch out and fall asleep and dream of big hair and impossible cake...
