So full...so very full...
Dec. 22nd, 2008 07:18 amYule dinner was amazing...everybody is very very full. In fact, there was so much food I'm going over after workies today to help with leftovers. If I can eat again. Which is doubtful.
It was excellent staying-warm food, things like potato dumplings and goose and gravlax and cheeses and fresh bread from the oven. And people liked their presents, which always makes me feel pleased and proud...
Now I have to slog myself off to the workies...it's really not bad this week, I work a whole two days. Plus this morning I get to try out a capelet I just finished, just for our bitterly cold weather. I made it to supplement my winter coat, which just doesn't cut it in temperatures like this. Last night when I tried it, the capelet was wonderfully warm, and Ben the Neighbor kept petting it over and over. (A good sign of quality knitted stuff is when people can't stop touching it:)
Stay warm, dear people...the cold snap is still out there, waiting for us to drop a glove or lose a hat...
