Some fun facts about Shamu the Bunneh...

Of all the things I've fed Shamu, the thing he likes best so far is lots and lots of timothy hay...he'll eat kibbles if they're there, and he enjoyed an apple slice I fed him before bed. But he'll totally pig out on hay:)

When I come up to the cage he leans up and hopes I'll let him out for a romp. It's adorable.

He blends into my clothing when I hold him.

He likes rugs better than wood floors, so I made a little rabbit-run around my coffee table for when I let him out of his cage. He then frolics around it like a bunny race track. It seems to be an easy way so far to keep him in one place.

He licked my cheek when I picked him up last night:)

I thought I'd have trouble sleeping with a nocturnal creature in the next room, especially since I gave him a chew-toy with a little bell in it. But no, he's actually pretty quiet...


So there you are. I'm a happy bunneh-mama...

I'm trying out different things to see what he likes. so far he's eaten apple bits, turned his nose up at strawberries, grapes and melons, and keeps nomming the hay. (I tried some mint this morning, since my rabbit-magazine suggests it for a snack. I'll check it when I get home, but it looked like he was snubbing it.) I stuffed a whole bunch of it into a cardboard tube so he can have another toy he can chew on:)
