bagels, iced coffee, fuji apple...
Jul. 3rd, 2001 09:10 am...Not a bad way to start a Tuesday. :)
Last night was quiet. I went home, took care of the laundry, called my grandparents. (It went much better than I'd hoped.) I decided to let my brother or mother call me instead of me worrying about calling them. I cleaned things up, made dinner, and scrubbed the tub for a long soak...
The last time I got bath goop, the company I ordered from felt generous and tossed in an extra bath bomb. (Left over from Christmas,I think.) It was a unassuming thing in the shape of a bell that smelled like cloves and almonds, with a bit of nutmeg. I plucked that one out of the basket 'o goop I keep in my bathroom, deciding that it was high time I had an eggnog kind of bath. So with an overhand toss,in it flew into the waiting tub...
*Splllllloooooosh*
*fizzzzzzzzfizzzzzfizzzzz*
When I climbed in, I noticed little dark flecks of something floating in the water. I plucked one out, thinking it was a clove or perhaps some nutmeg husk or something. It was gold!!! Tiny bits of gold foil in the water. I stayed in a little longer than perhaps was good for me, just playing with the tiny bits of gold floating in my bathtub.
So in 48 hours I've been bathed in muddy weeds...and gold. Kinda like life. I love it when life throws me strange little suprises like that...
Ms Eff, feeling a little better about things in general...

Date: 2001-07-03 09:42 am (UTC)A bath with golden bits sounds so nice. Did you have any tub toys to enjoy the soak with you?
Hi, Joei!!
Date: 2001-07-03 10:00 am (UTC)I really should invest in one of those Devil-duckys for the bath. (a red rubber ducky with horns and a little handlebar mustache)
I do have Spooky(tm) the Thing what Squeeks, but I try to keep him out of the bath. (I save him for scaring the neighbors)
As for turning me upside-down and shaking me for gold flecks, I bet you could get enough gold for a soda or something...*grin* (does this make me a James Bond villain now?)
GoldMausi!!! (WaWAwawawawaaaa!)
