Life in the deep freeze...
Jan. 15th, 2009 11:29 amIt's been bitterly cold in my town for days and days now. Every few years or so we get dropped into the deep freeze, but good. We all eat more and try to sleep more. The roads are beyond crazy. Everybody hopes for chance to get home early, burrow into whatever warm things happen to be around and stay there as long as possible, until we all have to face the DeathFreeze again...
Me, I keep checking the bunny to make sure he's warm enough. He has an angora coat on, toasty as can be, and I still fret about him. I call it new-mommy syndrome, when you're still trying to get a grip on what's normal for a new family addition and what is not.
I hear tomorrow it's still going to be awful--the Snow Queen is pissed, and she's keeping the dial on 11 just a little bit longer...At least it's a day off. I can sleep in and play with the rabbit and spin stuff and whatnot:)
