A list of unrelated things...

msfledermausI've just been updating stuff on my Etsy site. I have a few things I have almost finished to go on it, but I've been lazy, or overextended, or both. Sometimes I'm a little frightened by all the cool projects in my head; it's hard to find time to do everything...Here's a mini-list of things I want to finish lately:
A Divine babydoll complete with mohawk and huge huge eye makeup.
a mini-ofrenda that's almost finished.
A pretty wool cuff that needs embroidery.
A scarf that needs the ends woven in.
A 50's style drawing I want to finish.
A bean-trellis I'm making for my neighbor Karen out of jute rope.
A mixed-media piece that I've got all kinds of cool bits for--some assembly required.
Lots and lots of yarn to spin...
At the Jade Mines we have a life-sized topiary giraffe. He's garlanded with tons of flowers. I've nicknamed it Toby...
The garden seems to be perking up, even with the colder temperatures lately. At least it's been rainy enough for the flowers.
I'm so glad I bought new books to read...."Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" was everything I'd hoped for:)
I'm having a get-together Saturday night, possibly with bonfire if weather permits. Just a low-key thing, just beer and chips and hanging out and chasing the neighbor's chickens and whatnot. I thought it would be a good way to celebrate May Day weekend...
...and if it's really nice out, I'll bring the spinning wheel outside and freak out the Segway tours that go zipping past my house. I can finish some yarn I'm working on too. Two birds with one evil, evil stone...muahahahaha!!!
