I've been looking at scooters today...big ones, little ones, red ones, black ones. Buddy's, mostly. I blame the neighbors, since they're having so much fun with theirs. Funny thing? I can kinda sorta afford one now, if I want one...

And I'm thinking of getting one. I am obviously mental. But-but...I could be mental with a scooter!!! And there are sidecars!!! It would be so grand, I tellya!!! Woowoo!!!
*hyperventilates*

I must go take a time out in the corner for a while...

we have a buddy and i love it! we got a 50cc but if i were going to do it over i'd probably get a 125 or something.

Be careful, Mausi. Scooters are zippy and cool, but one of my dear friends was badly injured in a scooter accident. Wear head protection -- even in winter -- and be especially careful scooting at night.

I've been thinking of a Buddy 50cc. I'm a little leery of getting a motorcycle license, though I'm assured it's not really that bad if you're testing for a scooter. I'd like something easy, at first...

Yeah, scooters in Minnesota winters--it just doesn't happen. Everybody puts their wheels in storage for the winter.

And I will be very careful if I get one. My first stepdad died in a bad accident when I was a kid, so he's my Guardian Angel of Driving Safety...and if he sees me too soon, I know for a fact he'll kick my ass...

The 50cc is cool I will say. It goes 40mph and above so for tooling around in town it works just fine.

I didn't want to go through the motorcycle license thing, too, which is why we went 50cc.
