A short list of unrelated things...
Jun. 5th, 2009 10:05 amI'm a pretty tired Maus, even though I slept for about 9 hours. My body is just really physically wiped out today...
This did not stop me from doing all the Friday morning chores--dishes, laundry, sweeping, cleaning, Bunny-things. I could do more cleaning, but see above for the tired...
I have a new couch, courtesy of the Liz and the Nick. It's nice; a nice blue-gray with down stuffing. It's comfortable, and three people can sit on it without crowding and elbows and whatnot. Shamu hasn't tried it out yet, but I'm sure once he gets used to it I'll have trouble getting him off it...
There are two new shadow-boxes in the Rainy-Day Craftroom that are almost ready to go up--I just need to touch up some of the red. I still have to put mounting hardware on the backs, but for all intents and purposes they're finished. They look good, black with red insides. I intend to stick them on the wall in the living room and putting various Gothy knicknacks inside...
There's also a mixed-media piece I'm 3/4 done with. It's another shadowbox, with a skull and a tiny crystal ball and a seashell, and lots of reds and greys and blues. I'm thinking glitter to give it more kick, but glitter is my usual answer to all life's problems...It feels good to be able to do something away from the yarn for a while...
Yarn is fascinatingly good, though. I have a new skein I need to take pictures of and post. It's blue-black with hints of purple cotton threads and silver-black. I want to call it, "String Theory."...
And work? Uuuuuugh. Just gonna let that one lay there, like a dead marmot. Tragedy tomorrow, comedy tonight....
