One of the things I love about where I live is the quiet. You can hear the river flowing by and if you listen close, you can hear the far-off roar of the falls. You can hear the chickens. Sometimes you hear a boat or Peat's scooter or a neighbor walking past, talking to someone...
And sometimes, if you lean in reeeeeeally close--you hear the sound of munching:)
Isn't he a cutie? It's the first Monarch caterpillar I've seen this year...and he's BIG! I'll have to check that milkweed plant later to see when he makes his chrysalis...
