I was walking home after one of my longer days at the Jade Mines, when I passed the *grumble* new football field the high school by my house put up. It's a long story, but the short version is that this was/is a private school, grabbing up public land they had no right to. They've done similar land grabs in the past, which makes the relationship between the school and the residents of the Island very tense at best. This last year it's been worse than usual, since they apparently finished the field but kept the gate to the supposed-to-be public sidewalk up all summer. It's still up, with a big orange "Keep out--Private Property" sign on it...

Until recently...




I'm not sure who put this up, but I'm positive it's one of my neighbors...and if I ever find out who, I will hug them and kiss them and call them George...heeheehee!
