Last night when I came home, I did the usual stuff--ate supper, cleaned up a bit, let the bunneh out to play for a while...Except Shamu didn't really want to come out. He just looked up at me and snuggled down into his comfy hay-nest. I made sure he didn't seem sick or something, and said, "Okay, little buddy. I'll just leave the door open in case you change your mind." But nope, he seemed content just lounging in the hay that night. As an observer of cute little bunneh behavior, I've been learning that when he doesn't want to come out, it often means that bad weather's coming...

This morning I woke up and it's (finally) raining really hard. Shamu just looked up at me this morning, hopped out of his cage and seemed to say, "See? I TOLD you!" You're right, little buddy...you're right!

my mother always pointed out that when the cats and dogs had sudden bursts of activity, that was a pretty good indication that the weather was going to change.

It is.

Stay dry!

Huh. I have that in common with the little guy. When the barometer's a movin', I don't wanna.
