msfledermausIt's early, and I'm getting ready for work. It's supposed to be wicked cold out there right now--windchills around 20 below or so. I am incredibly grateful I had the good sense to put plastic over my chillier windows last weekend--my Maushaus is *much* warmer than it was this time last year...
Shamu is pretty well insulated too. His winter coat is just huge, and I never fail to be impressed by it. I still keep an extra blanket over part of his cage and lots of hay so he stays snuggly and warm. Yeeeeees, I have become a Crazy Bunny Lady. Crazy. Bunny. Lady. *facepalm* But I don't care, he's a good creature and I love him, so there...
So, I'm still putting on my armor against the cold--two pairs of socks, tights, alpaca sweater, leg warmers. Will I be able to move after I stick on my coat, scarf, hat, cowl, gloves, mitts, etcetera? Who can say?...
