msfledermausIt's bitterly cold outside. I'm glad to be home from the Jade Mines and cozily ensconced in my kitchen. There's pasta in a bowl, and fresh guacamole for work tomorrow. And after the workday tomorrow I've got a much-needed four-day weekend. I can taste it already...
Meanwhile, I'm reading about monsters again--Dave Cullen's excellent book, "Columbine". My boss asked if he could read it after me. I think with all the shootings and plane-crashings in public places lately he's more nervous than usual...and I am too. I feel compelled to read things about human monsters, in some effort to understand, and to feel safer. If I had a wish, any wish I ever wanted, I think my wish would be very simple: for everyone to be safe...
I think the weather's got me down. Time to warm up with that pasta I made...
Edit: Looks like a couple of my entry dates are way off. What the hell? Is it my computer, or LJ being strange? Meh.
