A job-hunting friend scored an interview next week. Keep dem fingers crossed while I fill him fulla martinis...

Ms Eff, a bat which prefers either rum and coke, chocolate martinis, or absinthe. (Without the wormwood, of course, and ever so rarely:)

Wormwood-free Absinthe?

I mean, I wondered a little about your "interest"...

"So, Mr. Interviewee. What sort of hangover could you bring to this company?"

It's the only kind you can get stateside.
(Wormwood in enough quantities is a long-term neurotoxin, causing tremors, hallucinations, and serious neurological damage...In small quantities it was used as a nerve tonic.) It got banned in a lot of countries, including France it's native home, after the early 1900's when they started having serious problems with it.

(It's tough to have the stuff cause damage, though, unless you're chugging it *every day*...which many people did.)

Chartreuse is more or less a cleaned-up version of absinthe. I like the herbal taste.*grin* And it's a lovely color...

Ms Eff, taking off the historian's glasses...

Oh. You had mentioned Chartruese before, but I didn't know what it was. I am somewhat familiar with Absinthe (not in a personal fashion though).

Thanks.
