I have things that should be done, and could be done now. But not right this minute...

Okay, I have actually been doing helpful things. Some cleaning, dragging out the trash, picking up a bit around the Maushaus. I redyed my hair and touched up my streak. I've been listening sympathetically to people at the Mines and seeing what the union can do for them. Then there's been the uphill battle with Mount Laundry...so much sweaty black clothing!! But there's always something else that could use doing...

And I don't want to do any of it, it's hot and I just want to watch something trashy and historical like "Marie Antoinette" for the scenes at the Trianon. I want to be lazy. Eat frozen bonbons on the couch, that sort of thing. Also, lately I've been having this urge to buy things. Mostly darling little soaps with leaves or cupcakes or skulls in them, that sort of thing. I suppose I should be relieved it's that benign--not much damage you can do with buying soap. Unless I buy it off Tyler Durden, and well, that's a whole other raft of problems, huh?...

So, I may be grumbly about the heat, but at least I'll smell nice...
