Surprise!!

I was working at the Mezz this afternoon when my friends Phil and Karen came to see me. After delighted greeting noises, Phil asked me, "When's the party?" "Uhhhhh...what party?" I replied. He immediately looked awkward and shame-faced, and I realized I'd Stumbled Onto Something. So I told Gail, who immediately piped up, "I know, got the invite this morning! But it had a start time of 6 am! I'm coming anyway, even if it's wrong! Ahahahaha!" Oh. My.

And then, when I checked my Facebook, I found an invite to a party just for me,6 pm on Saturday, sitting jauntily on my wall. My friends are crazy and wonderful and so, so good. And if anybody shows up at 6 am, there had better be coffee is all I'm saying. And cake...lots of cake...

And...I lurve you guys...

Isn't it? I kind of teared up a little. That's just so sweet...
