Much as I a good blather, sometimes I just need to break things down into simple chunks. Behold the chunkiness:

--There was pie. I love pie, though I'm more of a cake-girl. Pie is good stuff. I also ran into a very old friend I'd lost touch with, and got a chance to catch up. Things have been really terrible for him, but it seems like he's coming out of it all at last, and I'm glad.

--Work is workity. There's drama. Some drama for me, some drama for others. Someone called Gaily-Waily the "C" word at work, and they were promptly booted from the Jade Mines. I fed her supper and warm milk to settle her stomach, and we vented horribly for quite some time, ending with therapeutic bunny-pets.

--Meanwhile, the Wee Orca isn't power-shedding just yet, but if the weather keeps warming up, I expect him to sneeze and start a big *POOF* of fluff, all over my living room. It's totally going to happen. I also must keep him away from all the bunny-fluff, because then he gets anxious and runs around, looking for the other rabbit. I know I should consider a little brother, but all I need is to be outnumbered at home. Maybe I'll check for the next House Rabbit Society meet-up, so Shamu can play with other bunnies a bit...

--Japan. I am quietly heartbroken over Japan right now. I really love Japan so much, and ever since a trip I got to take years ago have wished I could go back. It hurts so much to see all the suffering and chaos and pain. Like most of us, I've been taking the news in small chunks, thankful that I have that luxury. And now that I hear rumors of a volcano starting to go on top of everything else, I keep thinking about Godzilla, smashing little cardboard temples and eating buses. It's the immature part of my brain that doesn't want to accept things, trying to find some way to cope...

So there you are, and here I am...just looking out at the river and grateful it's staying in it's pretty canyon where I live...
