almost forgot--Happy Lughnasad!!!
Aug. 2nd, 2001 10:52 amIt's today, you see. *Grin* the Festival of Lugh.
(Or Lammas) Also a happy excuse to get together, drink beer (specifically, it's a beery festival, not unlike Summerfest) and enjoy each other's company. (I bet you could wear Lederhosen just like Summerfest too--it's got a lot of parallels, it does:) Have a brat and join the silly beery singing!!! *Waves stein* I dunno, I don't think it's wise combining an old Celtic holiday with lederhosen and such...
MsEff, making up stupid German things to sing..Ja, ja ja, ich bin ein Jelly Doughnut, lalala...

Date: 2001-08-02 09:15 am (UTC)Thank you and a Happy Lammas to you, too..
say - I've been wanting a pretty pentagram pendant. I checked that cool little store on University and 280 that I can't rmemeber the name of and didn't find one I liked. I hesitate to go to Magus Books, although I have found some cool things there in the past, but the place gives me a weird vibe sometimes... where else can I check? I want something interesting - with knots or vines or something, I dunno. I'll know it when I see it.

Date: 2001-08-02 09:32 am (UTC)I reckon we can go shopping sometime...I know a place off Lyn-Lake that I've bought pretty things from, and a new store opened up down the street that looks promising. (The first one tends to be slightly more Eastern, but the smell is intoxicating and they do hae really nice silver stuff.) Worst comes to worst, I can give you some silver wire and let you borrow my needlenose pliers or something. *grin*
Ms Eff...wOOt!

Date: 2001-08-02 11:10 am (UTC)It's on the same corner as Big Mike's.
Also the new thing that opened up is I believe on the same side of the street as Fuji-Ya, right after it's Greek To Me. I haven't been in yet, but it's got interesting stuff in the windows.
Yes, shopping...there will be shopping. We must shop!!!

Date: 2001-08-02 09:30 pm (UTC)And combining ledehosen and Celtic stuff is fine since it is the festival of Lunacy.
Lunacy - lunacad... it's all the same thing, right?
