...is in full swing, with people wearing pirate and 18th century costumes. (Well, quick, cheap 18th century, nobody's in a hoop skirt.) right now I have the finished hairpins in, and a white cat's eye mask on, and I and my friend Karen the A/V pirate will see just how much sparkly gold stuff we can sneak out of there. (It would have been easier with a hoop skirt:( The party room has a gigantic wooden chandelier hanging from the ceiling overed with x-mas lights, and past a gigantic mound of "Treasure" (Golf clubs, bricks, tv's chains, footballs, pliers, all spraypainted gold in a glorious pile) is a red velvet throne where you can get pictures wearing Marie Antoinette wigs and flipping a fan at the camera.
(That particular wig is very popular with the men, Bien sur.) so I'm off to enjoy the rest of the party. It's a good way to start off what's going to be a pretty rough weekend--whenever I get annoyed or irritated, I can think of all those coworkers fighting over the towering white beehive wig and smile to myself...
