Happy February!!!
Feb. 5th, 2001 07:37 amI like February, even though it's still cold and snowing. It's an excuse to make foofy stuff for the people in your life you love. (Okay, I don't need and excuse, but sometimes it's handy to have one anyway.) Time for the glitter again!!!! (Yes, I'm 30 and shouldn't be obsessed with glitter--so shoot me or something; it's cheaper than diamonds, much as I would love giving them out and piling them up in giant mountains and SITTING on them like a dragon, brooding, hoarding...see, glitter's much healthier;)
I did get the furniture moving out of the way, and threw out no less than 3 bags full of stuff I didn't need anymore. I suppose I started spring cleaning early. (Something I don't do as much as I should, but who does?) I even managed to get time to work on another small piece for this Wednesday--The gallery I put my painting up in week before last does this critique-and-hang thing every other week for new work. (The new piece is a small shelf made from wood scraps and Faux-finished in white and gold and sumi-ink, with stones and a small incense holder. I just wanted something unusual and quietly subtle. (Yes, me being subtle, shut up about it, people will hear:)
Ms Fledermaus, who watched Coppola's "Dracula" and loved the visuals so much...what a castle!!!! Too bad Keanu Reeves has the worst English accent ...

February/Dracula
Date: 2001-02-05 10:52 am (UTC)I agree, February always seems like a nice change after bleak January.
I love Coppola's Dracula, and poor Keanu is just unfortunate in it...but I was quite enthralled by his use of very early cinematography/special effects to set the mood of the piece...and the cotumes are just outstanding.
Wishing you well,
Fuschia

Ms Eff, who tries to ignore Keanu whenever she sees the movie, just like she tries to ignore tom Crusie in "Interview."
