I like February, even though it's still cold and snowing. It's an excuse to make foofy stuff for the people in your life you love. (Okay, I don't need and excuse, but sometimes it's handy to have one anyway.) Time for the glitter again!!!! (Yes, I'm 30 and shouldn't be obsessed with glitter--so shoot me or something; it's cheaper than diamonds, much as I would love giving them out and piling them up in giant mountains and SITTING on them like a dragon, brooding, hoarding...see, glitter's much healthier;)
I did get the furniture moving out of the way, and threw out no less than 3 bags full of stuff I didn't need anymore. I suppose I started spring cleaning early. (Something I don't do as much as I should, but who does?) I even managed to get time to work on another small piece for this Wednesday--The gallery I put my painting up in week before last does this critique-and-hang thing every other week for new work. (The new piece is a small shelf made from wood scraps and Faux-finished in white and gold and sumi-ink, with stones and a small incense holder. I just wanted something unusual and quietly subtle. (Yes, me being subtle, shut up about it, people will hear:)

Ms Fledermaus, who watched Coppola's "Dracula" and loved the visuals so much...what a castle!!!! Too bad Keanu Reeves has the worst English accent ...

Work is going to be REALLY bad this week. Already my frustration level is higher than normal. My job really wouldn't be so bad if I could have the resources I need to make it go more smoothly.
(This is NOT the case.) Forgive the mood, I'm worried about work and of course by extension money. this will wear off after the 15th, when I get paid again and when I will know if I have to physically assault one of my vendor reps to get things on line. (Joke!! Kidding!!! No physical abusiveness here, promise!!)

Ms Eff, in a MOOD today...but geez, my pictures turned out swell, didn't they? Check my friends list for what Kev and Cyn saw when they came to visit me a few weeks ago...

A co-worker is extremely upset today because her
boss ransacked her files leaving post-its all over them to tell her what she SHOULD be doing, and then putting her down by accusing her of not doing any work. (She's quite good at what she does, actually.) I offered to introduce his kneecap to Mr.Tire-Iron today. Much as I love it here, I think it's time for both of us to start hunting for better jobs in earnest, before we break some or all of the workplace Non-violence policies. *Sigh.* I knew this would happen sometime, but not so fast...work's like that though, isn't it? think of everything you could do if you weren't being hamstrung by paranoid supervisors that micromanage you until you'r a quivering mess. Or if you could get the supplies or equipment or backup you needed to actually get some work done.
Or if you didn't have to look out for a department head that arbitrarily whips the knife out. orry, folks, don't mean to rant and rave and carry on, but it sure felt good to get that off my chest for a little bit.

Ms Eff, the Physchotic Office Grrl.

Minty chapstick, mixed with the smell of toner and stress.

Ms Eff, who welcomes the thought of a hot bath and a speaghetti dinner with extra mushrooms and garlic. Maybe I should change my Smell of the Day to spaghetti sauce....Mmmmmmm...
