It's freezing cold, no spring in sight. *shiver shiver*

I clicked on CNN yesterday, and was reading the article about our sending bombers to the Pacific to send a message to North Korea when I saw this bizarre little sidebar: "Michael Jackson paid for Voodoo-Death-Curse on Steven Spielburg"

I'e always been fickle when it comes to news. How the hell could North Korea compete? So guess what I clicked on? Shallow, Ms Mausi, how very shallow of you....

(Granted I wasn't that immune to the news lately....when I get home I've been going to bed early and hiding under the covers. Or is that just the cold? I can't tell anymore.*siiigh*)

Heh, I would have pantsed Spielburg and Geffen for $1500, plus airfare...Jacko doesn't know how to shop around, that's for sure.

I didn't do a DAMN thing for Mardi Gras. Not one damn thing.

I just stayed in bed with a book and had panic attacks about the state of the world and me in it. Worrying about an ancient coworker in the hospital for pneumonia, (she's 94...wowww!) and my family and the potential death of loved ones and my life and Dubya and North Korea and Tim-Bloody-Pawlenty and Big Brother
and smallpox vaccinations and needing new glasses and someday I should be an adult and buy some decent furniture or at least make some....worry worry worry fret fret fret.....

Feh. That's not right, being so wound-up about life that you forget to enjoy things that won't always be there. So I, Ms Fledermaus, Queen of Mausiland, do hereby swear to go out of my way to appreciate the things in life that aren't scary or potentially civiliation-destroying. I vow to be quiet, dammit, and have a nice cup of tea and colm the hell down so I can think clearly and appreciate things more.

It's what Mr Rogers would have wanted, I think.
