kabooms in 360 degrees, bebeh...
Jul. 5th, 2003 08:31 pmLast night I went up to the roof with various neighbors and watched in stunned glee at no less than 18 different fireworks displays, all over the city. The Downtown one was mostly blocked by the towers, but it was more than made up for by the other displays everywhere you looked. Faaaaaantastic, I tell ya!
It more than made up for last year, when I was down with a cold and missed all the fireworks. I was not a happy Maus last year. But hey, it's all better now that I got to watch about 15 finales, one after the other-- and that doesn't even count the guys letting off smaller fireworks in Loring park and other various roofs. I hope nothing caught on fire...
Today's been quiet in comparison. Reading, napping, cleaning, various phone calls.
I haven't really been working on projects except for some knitting for fun. I feel much better for being a slug today, though. I keep getting scolded for pushing myself too hard lately--I work in the day and come home and draw and knit for other projects at night, and have a stack of projects I need to finish by November and you wouldn't believe the laundry...well, maybe you would. At least this week I can get a bit caught up. Theraputic laziness is gooooooood.
