late night with mausi...
Aug. 31st, 2003 10:26 pmI'm waiting for Ben the Neighbor and Pipa Pete to come home from their lovely B-day dinner, (Ben's) and come home for dessert. I have...something...in the tub waiting for it's new home. The damn thing has tentacles. I kinda like it, but it's a little freaky too. At least it hasn't tried to strangle me or anything when I'm moving it from the shower rod to a perch on a small table by the sink. Ben Ben Ben, come the hell home so I can get this...this THING out of my shower!!!
Today someone mentioned I was in a bit of a rut. *Nods soberly* I suppose it's true.
I think some of that is just summer, and work stress and some unhappy memories that sprout right about now. I like to feel safe when I'm stressed out. Which means being a bit dull...
*whacks questing tentacle sneaking out of the bathroom*
Okay, maybe dull isn't quite the word I was looking for...
*whack whack whack*
Right, back in the bathroom, you Lovecraftian nightmare!!!
*tentacle sneaks away very quickly*
Anyway, it's easy for me to feel like a real loser sometimes. When someone points out my (very real) deficiencies, it really hits me, the typical Capricorn, where I live.
It's not a happy thing. But that doesn't make it untrue or anything.
So there you are...waiting patiently with me for some kind of flan torte with strawberries guarding the insect-eating version of Cthuhlu.
*tentacles sneak back out again*
Dammit, I SAID they're not home yet! No Flan for you!
*whack whack whack!*
You see what I have to put up with?
*WHACK*
