Howdy howdy, oh beloved Mausketeers...didja miss me? Didja? Didja? Hah?
Well, I missed you. I'm back from the Scraggit Ranch, and I have many an observation from my time there....
Even with all the weirdness of the airports, (and the potential future weirdness of airline background checks and paper wristbands...paging George Orwell, white courtesy telephone please!) I really like to fly.
It gives me a sense of accomplishment that I can navigate the concorses and print out my boarding pass and go through security with a minimum of fuss. And I still love to look out the windows once I'm off the ground. Flying over a snowstorm and up into the sun is almost a spiritual feeling.
I need to visit the Scraggit Ranch more often. I was very glad to see them both, and they were happy to see me.,,,and wow, has Mrs. Scraggit's hair grown! a lovely white, and down to her waist. People on the street keep trying to pet her hair. I petted it too:)
I need to see a boatload of movies.
The new Scraggit Ranch is lovely, and their house is partiularly cool, within walking distance of a beautiful cemetary and soft-serve ice cream!
I should have taken a large suitcase with me, all nice and empty, for all the presents they gave me. I'm getting boxes of things shipped to me this week. Happy belated birfdaaay to meeee...
Beef. It's what's for dinner. Or in my case, breakfast. Mmmm!
The peach tree in the back yard will need my er...help...with the peach-picking. and distributing...and eating...I think I can swing that sometime this summer. Goin' to the country, gonna eat a lotta peaches...
And of course, Minnesota's been very welcoming to me, presenting me with 5 degrees below zero as a welcome-home present. d'ohhhhhhhh....
So there you are...and here I am, waiting for my soup to be done. Black bean with chicken and garlic and shitake mushrooms.
You know you want some. You do. I can feel it from here. Well, get your nose outta my kitchen, IT ISN'T READY YET!!! It's just not.
