"The higher you are, you wanna see what's below...."
Yeah, listening to Rasputina again. Addictive stuff, I tell ya.
Not so much new lately...I got a package in the mail from my buddy Malcolm in Sydney...a couple of new cd's. Cooooool!!! Thanks, Stiggie!! I plan to send you comics that will sear your eyeballs when you open the box. Hopefully customs won't confiscate them. Maybe I should put a Martha Stewart Living on the front to divert suspicion...
I think it's the weather, but I've been succumbing to all my obsessions lately...knitting, drawing up designs, seeing what a *small* knitting machine would run me. I'll probably put off that purchase unless I can find a really good deal or after I move.
Other obsessions? Moody angsty meditation, candles in the dark, obscure dreams, trying to paint. Sometimes I still recognize a lot of myself in Devi's character in "I Feel Sick"...I think a lot of female artists do. Sometimes the art is the only thing that's there for you,
when work sucks and the world is a churning mass of chaos and people are like obscure postcards from other lands. Art is patient. And in the dead part of winter when you think spring will never come, it helps me get through it all....
so there you are...
