Fun fun weekendy fun fun fun.....
Feb. 22nd, 2004 01:49 pm...I'm over at Ben the Neighbor's currently, using his lovely laptop. Wireless connections are sooooooo cool, lemme tell ya. Ben is currently spraypainting granite-style spraypaint onto the lintels of the living room, and it's really very pretty. We're having a Huge Curry-And-French-fries-Blowout later on this afternoon. Mmmmm, curry fries!!!
This weekend's been full of strangeness, mostly good. I think my Karma's trying to empty it's cache to make room for new stuff.
Anyway, here's a list:
Stayed up on Friday devouring the Green Man anthology I bought the other day. And I do mean devour; I didn't go to sleep until I finished *all* the stories, one by one.
Napping in the sun. My favorite part of a weekend.
Talking to various people on the phone, and feeling better about the way we relate to each other.
Knitting an intarsia monkey-face on what was going to be potholders...It's going to be a a small handbag instead, since it is a stone bitch to make monkey faces, as it turns out. But this is a present for BabsMonkey, who is finally out of the hospital and coming back to work tomorrow.
First Avenue for the Burlesque Show with Ben the Neighbor. I ran into my ex-fiance there, and had one of those 3-second nonverbal conversations:
Me: Oh god, it's you, isn't it?
Him: I'm going to pretend not to see you.
Me: Fine, whatever, you're a jerk anyway.
Otherwise, good music, lots of people.
Walking to the Red Dragon in boots and hose. Those of you familiar with hosiery will know that sometimes it'll burn the bottoms of your feet with the friction of walking...which is exactly what happened. I ended up limping home with Ben the Neighbor helping me along, changing my shoes for comfy supportive ones with nice cotton socks. I suuuure do love cooton socks. The blisters covered my entire heel. *whiiiiine*

Queen of the Wedge Neighborhood, Envoy, His lovely sister Minnesotatoast, and a late and welcome arrival by Lakesha and Katie's adorable Japanese coworker, who she taught to headbang. Absolutely fabulous, darling....
And now Ben and I are going to eat brie until our arteries clang completely shut. Wheeeee!
