...but I blame the knitting...
*knitty knitty knitty*

At least I get to see my friend the emil-y & we can complain about our museum jobs together. (she works at the MIA now, but we used to be cow-orkers together at the Minimalist Inferno.) snacks & grumbling....sounds good to me:)

How's things?

And I thought it was just me having a bad week.

We had a break-in last night at the Inferno. Apparently we even made the news.
Seems some guy climbed our scaffolding and kicked in the old Gallery 8 door, then made his way downstairs, kicking in doors as he went. Our Control guys saw the motion detectors triggered and found him on camera. (This was especially scary since this guy also had a claw-hammer and broke in about 15 minutes after one of our guards went through on his nightly round.) The cops were called. I hear the guards had to barricade themselves behind one of the main doors by Control with the robber attacking the other side with the hammer, Jack-Nicholson-style, trying to get out. *shudder*

The cops arrived with a K-9 unit. (Nobody was sure at the time if the robber was the only one in the building or if there might have been someone helping.) I'm told the dog bit the guy with the claw hammer, but I'm not sure if that's accurate or not. (If so, I'm not sorry. At all. The guards on that night have been coworkers of mine for nearly 9 years, and I'd have been horrified to have *anything* happening to them.) I guess we even had a news crew out filming the police taking this guy out through the lobby...

Scary scary scary stuff...
*shudders some more*
