I just keep wanting it to be the end of the week...

...and I've been wanting that for 3 days straight now.

*sigh*

I think that means I need downtime. I'm taking some time off real soon from the Inferno, which will make me a happy Maus.

I shouldn't grumble...so I'm grumbling...

...Sounds like I'm getting some more illustration work from the Inferno. It's nice to be paid for this kind of work for a change (I haven't been making much cha-ching this year art-wise.) But....*quiet mutter with head down* I'm bothered by it too. Not the work, really, but there's a patronizing quality to it that just irritates me. Okay, it's the attitude of just one of the people involved...Mr. Sta-Puft. I should be *used to this sort of thing from him by now...but I still get annoyed by some of the assumptions he seems to have.
That somehow I'm some kind of idiot savant; useful for all sorts of cleaning and backbreaking chores and yet able to draw pretty pictures on demand... Which means I'm nervous about getting jacked around on payment. (So far this hasn't been a problem for the last time I did some contract stuff for them. But there's nothing like that sort of condescending attitude for fostering a "that's good enough for the likes of you" experience.)

Heh, plus they want drawings of what not to look like as a front-staff person...the kind of person I would be in a blink if I didn't need to keep a roof over my head. :P
I'm just lucky dressing in all black flies under the "Professional" radar...
