It's been dark and gloomy out...so I've been making mittens.
(Okay, mitten--I'm still on the first one.)
It's always er...interesting...when I make mittens. The first pair I tried looked like black pancakes with thumbs. (I was winging it without a pattern. I do that a lot, and the results, while instructive, aren't always aesthetically pleasing.)
I have a pair that are just lovely, except they're burnt orange mohair and other funky yarns. (I was using up some leftover yarn stash.) Um....my coat is blue.
*chuckle* Hey, they're realllly warm!

*siiigh* I'd rather be at home some more, finishing those mittens--er, mitten.
Work's been kicking my Mausi butt this week, and my boss is even more strange and obsessive-compulsive than the usual. There's only so many warding sigils I can put in a Mailroom, really. I need to invent boss-repellent. In a spraycan. I'd be rich beyond the dreams of avarice if I did that...

At home I'm pulling together my costume for a party this weekend...one of the Most Extreme Challenge contestants, complete with kimono, knee and armpads, stupid hat and bloodstains and bruises all over... Maybe mud. Some other friends are doing this with me, so we can have a team of badly beat-up, bruised humiliated contestants...

Off to go put tacks in the boss's chair, back in a few...
