Nnnggg....I'm at work again! It's like some kind of rerunning Groundhog Day kinda thing...

Last night at knitting was fantastically cool--my old coworker Daniel showed up with his SO and we had the best time...he brought me taffy, and we gossipped and laughed and goofed around, it was so good. Daniel and I talked about the guy at my old job being spoiled rotten with new computers and faxes, and he grinned and said,"You know, this is Second-Wife syndrome right here...the first one supports you and gets you through medical school and gets no recognition, and then the second one, why, nothing's too good for them."
(This kind of wisdom is why I like hanging out with Daniel so much.) There was sock-puppetry involved:)

And today's my Friday...Tomorrow I'm taking some time off to actually try to paint some things. I'm waaaaay behind on the cards I'm working on. (A friend of mine very kindly and gently pointed that out yesterday. I was a little irritated at first. "It's not like I'm not working six or seven day weeks or anything, ohhh nooo.." I muttered to myself. But be that as it may, the friend had a good point: I'm never going to get done with the blasted things if I don't work on them.) I think I'm going to have to set up a more nomadic way to work on painting since I seem to be all over the map lately. (I've got some scaled-down watercolor paper and some decent small paint sets I should pack more often.) Anyway, tomorrow I don't have to catch up on the Maushaus cleaning so much; I can (for a change) put down the knitting and work for a while...then I'm sure I'll feel better about letting my creative work slide so much...

I should go; it's my turn to keep an eye on the ninja hordes...
