One of the nice things about the Jade Mines where I work is we have really huge windows where you can see the skyline and all the weathery stuff going on. If it's raining, you get the whole thunder-and-lightning panorama. If it's sunny and bright, you get to see it and wish you were outside. If it's autumn, you get to see the park across the street turn colors and shed it's leaves. Makes walking around in a blue blazer and a clip-on-tie that much more enjoyable...
I do have the occasional stressful moments, though--yesterday I ran into an old...ex-friend? I suppose that would fit. She and I were fairly tight for a while friend-wise, things got seriously weird and eventually fell apart. I hadn't talked to her for years. Last I'd heard she'd moved to Michigan, and she mentioned she was visiting from out of town when I bumped into her in the galleries with her friends.
It was awkward, but it seems like she's doing okay, and that made me feel a little better about running into her.
Heh, I also busted a local newcasting personality the other day...he was filming something for workies and put his cellphone and headset on the base of a sculpture...I was kind and polite, ut I wanted to wag my finger and yell,"Bad, bad newscaster...no makeup for you!!!" See, see, I am the epitomy of restraint, I am!!!
I've been going home lately and instead of cleaning up the Maushaus I've been knitting warm gauntletty things for an art-crawl I'm in next Saturday...details to follow; I'll post time and place tomorrow and the day before the shindy. It's a little exciting because I'm showing work at the Queen of Stuff's new workspace along with a couple of my new cow irkers...we've never shown work together before, but I think it'll be low-key and fun. There should be snackage. And I will eat that snackage, be assured... (Okay, I'm just hungry, so my little brain just went on the Land Of Curry when I mentioned "snackage". Mmmmmmm, curry......)
so there you are...with or without curry makings in the 'fridge...
