Cinnamon soap is such great stuff...

..It woke me up pretty fast in the shower, lemme tell you...Now I smell like a cookie.

I got some great birthday stuff from various wonderful people...but I think the most interesting was definitely the goat-milk yogurt Ben the Neighbor made and a dozen beautiful eggs Petey brought me in brown and white and green. I'm not sure if I have the heart to eat them, they're so pretty...and they were still warm from the chickens! This urban homesteading thing they're doing is just the coolest thing.
(I keep having to remind myself they're not the only ones...I'm he one with a huge honkin' spinning wheel by the bookcase.)

Meanwhile, I have the song, "I'm Henry the Eighth, I am I am, I'm Henry the Eighth, I am I am..." stuck in my head....The special I was watching gave the statistics of various nobles and whatnot in a way that reminded me of pro wrestling--very dramatic, lots of cut aways and repetition. Kinda disturbing, really...*Hums "I'm Henry the Eighth, I am I am" again"* Thanks, History Channel...I'm gonna get you for this...
