Life should be one long education...
Jan. 12th, 2006 06:29 am...I spun some more stuff on the wheel last night...80 yards of some basic white wool. That's a pretty decent amount, and I felt very proud:) It feels good to be learning something new. (Though I still have a ways to go; I kept having breakage issues with the spun stuff. That's just practice:) I even got these wonderful bits in the spinning when the wheel is going smoothly, I've got the beat, my hands are doing what they need to and the wool is cooperating...I can understand why people say this is soothing once you get the hang of it. Cool stuff, maaaaan...
Meanwhile the Crazy Guard at work has taken away his communal tea containers. I guess someone put a couple of blank metal discs or something in his donation jar and he completely lost it. Oh dear...He's not the nicest guy, but it's not cool to pick on the terminally crazy. Good thing I bring my own tea these days.
and so on and so on...
