I found an old tiger-eye ring I bought long ago...

...Actually I bought the stone when I was 21 and had it set in a ring a little later. It's too big to fit my ring finger, but it makes a nice-looking barbarianish cocktail-ring. I'm wearing it now just to renew my aquaintance with it. Memo to myself: Clean out jewelry boxes more often.

The hard part of my work schedule lately is Wednesdays and Thursday nights--when I get home I'm awake for maybe 2 and a half hours. Which means I miss my friends' phone calls more often than not:( (Sorry, Freekee--I was in the tub, sir.) I'll just have to try to call instead before I get my nightly clobberin' from Mr. Sandman.

So much I need to do...photos to take, projects to finish, (or start) people to catch up with. Meh. Meh meh meh... forgive the whinyness, I blame hormonal angst. I will dose myself with chocolate and all will be well again, promise.

Oh, greaaaat...

...Sounds like I have to be careful going home after work. This morning there were two robberies close to my bus stop from work--some guy in a dress threatening people with a gun and taking their wallets. I'm absolutely serious. My supervisor told me, and I asked her, "A dress? You mean, like an actual dress?"
The verdict is out on whether the mugger is a transvestite, transgender or just a nutjob in a summer frock.
(Er...I pick number three...)

Anyway, plenty of motivation to be extra careful on my way home tonight. Maybe the cops have even caught this person; who knows? It can't be too hard to find this particular mugger...
