I was having a great time outside yesterday, coaching Peaty on his spinning wheel on the front lawn. It was pretty bucolic, even with the high winds and the occasional apple falling from the apple tree. One of them bonged me right on the head while I was spinning, and Peaty laughed and said, "Oh wow! You had a Newtonian moment!" I replied, "Yeah, well Newtonian moments HURT!"

It was that kind of weekend, all cool and blustery. Just perfect, really. I went to Minnehaha falls with the Queen of Stuff and had my first po' boy. Erin kept giggling when I kept snarfing and snarfing my sandwich--it was just so big; if I stopped eating it the thing would have fallen apart:) I went thrift shopping; more fun looking at skirts and eying the baby dolls--ala, none seemed to cry out to me, "Take me away from this horrible place and give me a mohawk and some eyeliner!" I had dinner with Ben and Peaty twice, and sprawled on their couches petting cats and watching cable...

I just feel so rested:) Even here at work...

...I just finished baking some cranberry scones when I saw Peaty wandering by outside. I yelled out the window, and hey, presto--half an hour later they're full of hot scones, we've semi-successfully wrestled the clothesline into submission, and I've seen a bunch of cool Youtube stuff...the best one is
this one, a Finnish cartoon about the perils of obsessive knitting. It uh, kinda hit home..I have long hair, and now I have these little cliffs right near my happy Maushaus...If I get any, er, ideas, be sure to lock me in my kitchen and away from the yarny stuff, willya? Oh wait, that wouldn't work anyway, there's yarn in my kitchen too...new candy-colored stuff with beads, just drying, don't ask:P
