Strategy, chocolate...

It took me a while to fall asleep last night. I'd stayed after work for the union meeting, and then after hung out with my cow-irker Gail and fed her hot chocolate and strawberries. She asked me to serve on the negotiation committee for the new contract, and I accepted. *gulp* So we drank chocolate and talked strategy and whatnot for a while. I'm glad Gail and I got a chance to unwind a bit last night. She's a good creature...

Speaking of good creatures, Captain Emily wants to stop by tonight and hang out a bit too. That would be so good--her schedule and mine are so radically different that it's hard to find time to catch up. But we treasure it when we can, and I can call the Boys Next Door to come by for pie and whatnot and soak up the Emily-love.

Of course this means I have to get through all the work stuff first...but that's doable.
